Blackwater Kayaking Tour of Quenby Creek from Charleston![]() Kayak Tour of Blackwater of Quenby Creek from Charleston A fun kayaking tour that starts on Quenby Creek and twists along the historic banks of Quenby Plantation. Journeying through abandoned rice fields of wildflowers, we paddle on to the East Branch of the Cooper River where wooden barges once floated rice, cotton and indigo out to the Charleston Harbor. Choose from half-day, full-day, or two hour tours available. The Full Day Tour includes Lunch.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. During our tour we explore an English church called Pompion Hill Chapel attended by French Huguenots and European Settlers hundreds of years old. Here we view bald eagles, hawks and wetland shorebirds for miles overlooking the abandoned rice fields while we stop and have lunch. Sometimes accompanied by the shy American Alligator, this tour is truly one of our paddlers favorites. Must be ages 9 and up to paddle in a single boat.
Testimonials ~ " We are going to come back next March and do another kayaking trip with you. First time ever, we have decided to go back to the same area. That speaks very highly of you and the time we had kayaking with you on the Wambaw. It was a real pleasure for the two of us to make your acquaintance and tap into your vast knowledge of the outdoor world around us." - Ruth "Thank you for the kayak trips you have provided for my groups of women. You have given life empowering experiences with the confidence you instill in each of us through your positive teaching skills, your safety instruction, and your leading by example. You make each trip special bringing the earth into a fine focus with your naturalist perspective." - Kathie Child rate applies to children 12 and under.
